The Eco-Cheque 2025 call funded Austrian SMEs and non-profit organisations across all sectors to take small-scale action on climate-friendly and environmentally sound business practices. Eligible activities included problem analysis, designing and developing solutions, and pilot trials of new business models, products or services. The project duration was capped at 12 months with no extensions, and only one Eco-Cheque per organisation was funded.
Funding was a non-repayable de minimis grant capped at 12,000 EUR (80% of eligible costs, max 15,000 EUR), covering personnel costs and third-party costs (third-party capped at 30%). When oversubscribed, FFG selected applications by random draw (lottery) and reviewed them in random order until the budget was exhausted. Funding was paid out only after project completion and approval of the final report (single final instalment). The call ran 02 September 2025 – 06 October 2025 and is now closed; no successor 2026 call is visible in our cache.
Problem analysis and research; design and development of solutions; pilot trials of new business models, products or services. Max 12-month project, no extension.
