Capital Semilla Emprende is an annual seed grant programme delivered by SERCOTEC (Servicio de Cooperación Técnica), Chile's small business development agency, targeting individuals who are formalising and launching a business for the first time. The 2026 convocation offered CLP 3,500,000 per beneficiary distributed across all Chilean regions, with 541 places allocated nationwide. The subsidy is divided into two components: a business management cost component of CLP 200,000 to CLP 500,000, and an investment component for productive assets, infrastructure, or working capital of CLP 3,000,000 to CLP 3,300,000. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, must not have any prior primera categoría tax registration with Chile's Servicio de Impuestos Internos (SII), and must submit a business project aligned with the economic focus defined in the relevant regional convocation bases. Beneficiaries are required to contribute a co-payment percentage specified per region plus applicable taxes in addition to the SERCOTEC subsidy. The 2026 call closed on May 13, 2026, and the next cycle is expected in 2027 following the programme's annual pattern. Applications are submitted through SERCOTEC's online portal and processed with support from regional offices and Centros de Desarrollo de Negocios.
