The KfW Klimaschutzoffensive für Unternehmen (programme 293) is a subsidised investment loan operated by KfW Bankengruppe designed to support German companies in financing measures that reduce or avoid greenhouse gas emissions. The programme sits within KfW's Climate Protection product cluster alongside programme 291 (Konsortialkredit), and targets the broad German Mittelstand and SME population rather than only large enterprises, making it one of the more accessible climate investment instruments in the KfW portfolio.

Maximum loan amounts are EUR 26,750,000, available to for-profit companies, non-profits, universities, and research organisations registered and operating in Germany. Eligible investments are those demonstrably contributing to greenhouse gas reduction — for example, energy system upgrades, electrification of industrial processes, or deployment of low-emission technologies in manufacturing or commercial operations. The programme is a pure loan instrument without a repayment grant component, distinguishing it from KfW products such as programme 295 which include a Tilgungszuschuss. As with all KfW Unternehmen products, loans are accessed through commercial partner banks, not applied to KfW directly.

Applications succeed on the credibility of the climate impact case: borrowers must be able to document the baseline emissions profile, the projected reduction attributable to the investment, and the financial viability of the project. The programme is open on a rolling basis, meaning readiness of the investment business case and engagement with a partner bank are the primary determinants of timing rather than a competitive call deadline.

Provides subsidised investment loans of up to EUR 26.75 million to German companies financing projects that measurably reduce or avoid greenhouse gas emissions.
