Awards EUR 15,000 to a woman mid-career scientist based in the EU or an associated country for global-health leadership.
This is a Horizon Recognition Prize, one of four Scientific Leadership Prizes awarded from the same EUR 60,000 pot (two women, two men, split between EU-resident and sub-Saharan-African-resident researchers). This prize recognises a female mid-career researcher, permanently resident in an EU member state or Horizon Europe associated country, who has made significant achievements and continues to lead in her research field. It weighs contributions to strengthening research capacity in sub-Saharan Africa and to South-South and North-South networking within the Global Health EDCTP3 programme.
