Testing Circular Biopolyesters (STCB)
Pays half the cost for Dutch companies testing bio-based polyesters like PLA or bio-PET.
Applicants request funding for a single test project lasting up to a year, and RVO processes complete applications in arrival order, running a notary lottery on the day the budget runs out. Approved projects receive the full subsidy amount within two weeks of the decision, and applicants may start work immediately after applying, at their own risk before the formal decision arrives.
STCB is for entrepreneurs anywhere in the circular value chain for bio-based polyesters — from biomass processors and monomer or polymer producers to converters, brand owners and recyclers. It funds in-house testing of materials such as bio-PET, PEF, PLA, PHA, or polyester coatings and resins, but excludes other bioplastics like bioPE or bioPP.
