Accelerated Climate Investments in Industry (VEKI)

Pays Dutch industrial firms up to EUR 30 million to install proven CO2-cutting technology.

OpenNetherlands Enterprise AgencyNetherlands

The general EUR 30 million ceiling drops to EUR 25 million for hydrogen or waste-heat infrastructure and to EUR 11 million for public hydrogen infrastructure, and a large enterprise needs at least EUR 125,000 in subsidy to qualify at all, not the EUR 30,000 floor that applies to small and medium-sized companies. Several categories are excluded outright regardless of how much CO2 they would save: p

VEKI is for industrial companies (manufacturing, waste/wastewater processing, or energy distribution firms) making a market-ready investment that cuts CO2 in their own Dutch operations, where the payback time would otherwise exceed 5 years. It covers energy efficiency, circular economy, waste-heat or hydrogen infrastructure, and other CO2-reducing measures — not pilot or demonstration projects.
