Funds building a shared resource for the whole alcohol research field — data, materials, tools or services. Hypothesis-driven research is explicitly out.
An R24 does not fund a hypothesis. It funds a resource — data, materials, tools or services that other alcohol researchers need in order to do their own work well, quickly and cheaply, rather than each rebuilding it from scratch.
