Collaborative basic, translational and clinical research identifying mechanisms of cancer therapy-induced adverse sequelae that persist as chronic comorbidities or appear as delayed effects, characterising them clinically, and translating mechanism into preventive therapeutic approaches, using mechanistic studies with translational endpoints and longitudinal clinical phenotyping to validate biomarker, imaging or patient-reported endpoints for future trials.
