Funds mechanistic work on the lasting harms cancer therapy causes, and on turning that understanding into ways to prevent them.
Cancer treatment saves lives and leaves damage. Some of it persists and becomes a chronic condition; some appears years after treatment ends. This notice funds understanding both, and doing something about them.

Collaborative basic, translational and clinical research identifying mechanisms of cancer therapy-induced adverse sequelae that persist as chronic comorbidities or appear as delayed effects, characterising them clinically, and translating mechanism into preventive therapeutic approaches, using mechanistic studies with translational endpoints and longitudinal clinical phenotyping to validate biomarker, imaging or patient-reported endpoints for future trials.
