Interregional Cooperation is a program from Innoviris, the Brussels-Capital Region's public innovation agency, that enables Brussels companies to access the deep R&D expertise of Flemish and Walloon research institutions and companies through structured cluster collaboration.

Brussels-based companies can participate in collaborative R&D projects submitted through the calls of Flemish spearhead clusters (Catalisti, SIM, Flux50, VIL, Flanders' FOOD, Blauwe Cluster), Flemish Strategic Research Centres (IMEC ICON program, Flanders.MAKE ICON program), or Walloon competitiveness poles (Skywin, Greenwin, Biowin, Wagralim, Mecatech, Logistics in Wallonia).

Brussels companies can also participate in ICON (Interdisciplinary Cooperative Research) projects within Flemish SOCs and spearhead clusters, where new applicable knowledge is developed through a balanced consortium of research organisations and at least two independent Flemish enterprises.

Eligible Brussels companies must have activities in the Brussels-Capital Region, intend to submit a project with R&D partners from Flanders or Wallonia, have a project aiming at developing an innovative product/process/service, be able to bear part of project costs, and have fulfilled prior regional obligations.

Note: Innoviris announced on 24 March 2026 that no new projects can be funded in 2026 due to budget constraints. All programs are suspended. Applications submitted before the suspension remain in process and may be funded in 2027.

Market-oriented R&D and innovation projects for Brussels companies collaborating with Flemish spearhead clusters (IMEC, Flanders.MAKE, Catalisti, SIM, Flux50, VIL, Flanders' FOOD) or Walloon competitiveness poles.
