The Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) administers this grant under Procedure BG16RFPR001-1.010 of the Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises Programme (PKIP) 2021-2027 — an EU structural fund programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The procedure supports Bulgarian SMEs implementing new or improved products, services, or production processes. Total programme budget is 188,368,368 BGN (approximately 96.3 million EUR).
Awards range from 25,000 EUR (approximately 50,000 BGN) minimum to 250,000 EUR (approximately 500,000 BGN) for micro and small enterprises, up to 400,000 EUR (approximately 800,000 BGN) for medium enterprises. Applications were submitted via EUMIS 2020. The most recent deadline was 16:30 on 5 June 2026 (extended from an earlier date per update of 20 May 2026). That deadline has now passed.
Eligibility covers for-profit micro, small, and medium enterprises registered in Bulgaria. The procedure uses a project selection process via EUMIS 2020.
