Funds beyond-proof-of-concept innovations that make infectious-disease prevention, treatment or diagnostics cheaper, more accessible or better suited to sub-Saharan Africa.

This topic wants research beyond proof-of-concept on disruptive innovations for infectious diseases within Global Health EDCTP3's scope, including HIV/AIDS — new or repurposed medicines, delivery systems, age-appropriate formulations, or tools that lower cost or improve accessibility in sub-Saharan Africa. Chronic and non-communicable diseases, and infectious diseases outside EDCTP3's scope, are explicitly excluded.
