One Comprehensive Universal Radiotherapy for Everyone (1-CURE)
Funds research teams developing a single low-cost radiotherapy treatment for all cancers.
ARPA-H runs this as a solicitation posted on SAM.gov under Notice ID ARPA-H-SOL-26-147: proposers first submit a solution summary, and only those encouraged to continue are expected to submit a full proposal. Program Manager Wilfred Ngwa leads it, and ARPA-H expects proposers to form teams before applying, offering a teaming page and an optional Proposers' Day to help them connect. Funding flows tโฆ
ARPA-H wants interdisciplinary teams to build one radiotherapy approach effective against local, metastatic and treatment-resistant cancers. The program covers two technical areas: smart radiotherapy biomaterials that deliver image-guided, sustained immune-boosting therapy, and an AI-driven treatment planning system that combines those biomaterials with FLASH radiotherapy. Teams should bring expertise across physics, immunology, materials science, AI, engineering, clinical oncology and advanced manufacturing.
