Innovative business models advancing renewable electrolysis integration in industry
Funds a coordination project that designs and validates new business models for financing renewable hydrogen in heavy industry.
Costs are paid as a lump sum, used across every topic in this year's Clean Hydrogen JU call, rather than reimbursed against actual spend. Subcontracted work can only be carried out in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, a condition applied to every topic in this call. This call funds design and validation of innovative business models — new ownership structures, licensing or service-based approaches, variable revenue schemes — that unlock private capital for renewable hydrogen projects in hard-to-abate industries such as steel, chemicals, ammonia and methanol. Proposals should check the bankability of these models and show how they help projects reach Final Investment Decision.
