Global collaboration action for the development of TB drugs for therapy and chemoprophylaxis in adults and children in sub-Saharan Africa
Funds Phase IIa-and-later clinical trials of new or shorter TB drug and chemoprophylaxis regimens for adults and children in sub-Saharan Africa.
This is a two-stage Research and Innovation Action run by Global Health EDCTP3. This call wants clinical trials that push new or improved TB drugs, shorter treatment regimens, or chemoprophylaxis toward registration, including for multidrug- and extensively drug-resistant TB. It also welcomes proposals combining TB post-exposure prophylaxis with leprosy prevention, since the two diseases share transmission routes and drug candidates. Preclinical work, vaccines, diagnostics and monoclonal antibodies are out of scope.
