Funds an innovation project that builds a modular, standardised hydrogen storage system OEMs can integrate without custom engineering.
Proposals cannot ask for more than five million euros from the Clean Hydrogen JU on this topic -- anything above that amount is not evaluated at all, not just marked down. That cap exists because this kind of high-TRL demonstration work is expected to draw in real co-funding from industry partners, so a credible proposal has to show private investment covering the rest of the project's actual cost…
This call funds development of a flexible, standardised and interoperable hydrogen storage system that lowers the integration barrier for OEMs, especially SMEs, who currently have to engineer custom storage solutions in-house. Proposals should standardise storage connections and control systems, similar to how the StasHH project standardised fuel-cell modules, but applied to storage.
